Billy G. Williams was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on October 24, 1931 the son of the late Herbert Brooks and Mattie Elizabeth King Williams.
On May 20, 1949 he was united in marriage to Lou Maxine Simmons, who preceded her husband in death on April 23, 1999.
Billy was a farmer, did tool and die work, and also sold motorcycles. He was a good machinist, mechanic, volunteer fire fighter, and was a loving husband and father. Billy was a member of Oak Hill Christian Church, Lions Club, Tax Board, the Production Credit Association, and Board of Directors of Co-Op.
He departed this life on Thursday, June 13, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 92 years, 7 months, and 29 days.
Billy is survived by his children, Stanley Williams of Adamsville, Tennessee, Mike Williams of Counce, Tennessee, Gary Williams of Corinth, Mississippi, Billy D. Williams of Michie, Tennessee, Pam Woodruff of Michie, Tennessee, and Anne Pease of LaVergne, Tennessee; grandchildren, Tara Carothers, Chris Carothers, Sonia Wood, Cory Plunk, Samantha Willoughby, Russell Williams, Stefanie Williams, Stanley David Rickman, Josh Williams and Jennifer Wright; great grandchildren, Kayla Tyra, Grace Catlett, Tessa Catlett, Bella Lazar, Carter Willoughby, James Plunk, Christian Wright, Sean Wright, and Adian Wright; great great grandchild, Elena Tyra; brothers, Herbert B. Williams, Jr. of Savannah, Tennessee, Ben Williams of Booneville, Mississippi, and Steve Williams of Memphis, Tennessee; and sisters, Jane Osborne and Linda Hamedani of Ocala, Florida.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one grandchild, BJ Williams; great grandchild, Soren Carothers; brothers, Roy Williams and Pat Williams; and one infant sister, Ann Williams.
