Debra Jean Chenault, a cherished soul born on March 29, 1964, in Toney, Alabama, entered the arms of her Heavenly Father on October 28, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee. She was the beloved daughter of the late Jessie Lee and Lizzie Mae Wilburn.
Debra was a devoted member of Second Baptist Church in Selmer, where she found solace and strength in her faith. She worked at a sewing factory in Selmer and later at Hagy's Catfish.
Above all, Debra was a wonderful mother whose love knew no bounds. She cherished every moment spent with her family, often gathered around the television, sharing laughter while watching her favorite soap operas, Lifetime movies, and doctor shows.
At the age of 61 years and 6 months, Debra leaves behind two loving sons, Jamie Chenault and Jason Chenault, both of Selmer, TN; along with three adoring grandchildren: Tanner Chenault, Olivia Willis, and Austin Willis. She is also survived by her two sisters, Jessie Sparks of Madison County, AL, and Lizzie Doyle of Adamsville, TN; and her brother, J.T. Wilburn of Selmer, TN, and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Debra Jean was preceded in death by her siblings: Jannie Lee Wilburn, Rosetta Wilburn, Jr. Wilburn, Mary Lou English, Loyd Wilburn, and Patricia Aldridge.
As we celebrate Debra's life, we remember her unwavering love, her laughter, and her generous heart. She may no longer walk among us, but her spirit will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who loved her.
