Blanche Golder Durant

Blanche Golder Durant, 95, of Aiken, SC entered into rest on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Iretta Smith Golder and her siblings, Norman Golder, Andrew Golder, Jr., Marjorie Golder Davis and Curtis Golder.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters and their husbands, Debbie Osmundsen (Tor) of Aiken, SC and Bambi Tornatore (James) of Shrub Oak, NY; her grandchildren, Justin Osmundsen, Erik Osmundsen (Lizzie), Robin Tornatore (Andrew) and Scott Tornatore (Brittany); two great grandchildren, Sonja Osmundsen and Bjorn Osmundsen and numerous friends and acquaintances.
Blanche was born on May 27, 1928 in Mahopac, NY and moved to Aiken, SC in 1994. Over the years, she worked as a sales associate for a music store in Mt. Kisco, NY, as a receptionist for a dental practice in Mahopac and for fifteen years as a fine jewelry specialist with J.C. Penny in Aiken. Blanche was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church of Aiken. She was an animal lover and was devoted to the many pets she owned throughout her life. Miss Blanche loved to dance and up until she recently became ill, still loved to move to the music. She was a proud Foster Grandparent to the children of North Aiken Elementary but most of all she loved her time spent with her children and grandchildren.
A Celebration of Blanche's life will be held at St. John's United Methodist Church in Aiken at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers (T2T.org) or to the SPCA of Aiken, SC.
