Candace L. "Candy"(Ledger) Rochford, 79 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at her home. She was the wife of the late John Arthur Rochford.
Candace was born February 14, 1943 in New York, NY a daughter of the late William and Lynn (Lawton) Ledger and has been a Cheshire resident since 1987. She was educated in New York City schools and had attended Hofstra University. She was Paralegal at various area law firms retiring after many years of service. Candace enjoyed traveling and visited many countries abroad. She also enjoyed cooking, was an avid reader, who liked spending time at the Cheshire Public Library. Candace also collected unique art and antiques. She loved Halloween and enjoyed decorating for that holiday, but mostly she loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great granddaughter. Candace was a Communicant of Saint Bridget of Sweden Church.
Candace leaves her sons, Peter Trentacosti and his wife Jodie of Hamden and Vincent Trentacosti and his wife Lizbetta of Danbury, her granddaughters, Candace McCarthy and Amanda Trentacosti, her grandson, Peter N. Trentacosti, her great granddaughter, Josephine McCarthy, her sister Vanessa Ledger of Spain and a niece and nephew. She was predeceased by her brothers, Brandon and Brendan Ledger.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Bridget of Sweden Parish/Saint Bridget Church in Cheshire. Burial followed in Saint Peter Cemetery in Cheshire. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire has care of arrangements.
