Charles Angelo "Chucky" Chairge

Charles Angelo "Chucky" Chairge, 71, formerly of Exeter, PA, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, at Washington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, surrounded by love and care.

Born on May 25, 1954, in Pittston, PA, Chucky was the beloved son of the late Charles Chairge and Charlotte (Karchiner) Chairge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine, and his nephew, John "Beno" Borzell.

Chucky was a proud graduate of Wyoming Area Secondary Center, Class of 1973. He went on to work as an iron worker, in auto part sales, and on road crews. Known for his hardworking nature, he dedicated his life to providing for his family.

He is survived by his son, CJ, daughter-in-law, Jennifer, and his cherished granddaughter, Sophia. He is also survived by his siblings: Bobby and wife Barbara, Ann and husband Mark Polizzi, Mary Claire and husband Jack Borzell, Tommy and wife Pam, and DeeDee and husband Jimmy Prywara, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Outside of work, Chucky enjoyed watching sports-especially cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers-and caring for the family's dogs. His sense of humor brought joy to all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, September 22, 2025, with calling hours beginning at 9:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish, 605 Luzerne Ave, West Pittston. Burial will follow at Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chucky's memory to the Parkinson's Foundation.
