Charles Terrance "Terry" Kuebrich passed away on September 11, 2024 in Olathe, Colorado. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter's Church in Cosgrove, Iowa and his burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Terry was born in Iowa City, Iowa on August 24, 1936 to Leonard and Alice (Meade) Kuebrich. He grew up in the Cosgrove, Iowa area and graduated from Cosgrove high school in 1954. He graduated from Iowa State University in 1958. He married Shirley Boylan in Des Moines, Iowa on September 6, 1958. They had three children, Brian, Lori and Kelli. They later divorced. He married Marjorie Schreiber in Des Moines on January 10, 1981.
After several years of not doing well in Agricultural Sales he started as a computer programmer for American Republic Insurance Company. After 34 years he retired as a Vice President of I.T. Operations.
On his first trip to Colorado in 1953, he fell in love with the mountains. Starting in the early 1960's he vacationed in Colorado every year. When he retired in 1997 it didn't take long for a move to Colorado.
Terry is survived by his wife, Marjorie of 43 years, two daughter's Lori (Tony) Petosa and their children Alex, Andrew and Kate; and Kelli Stoaks and their children Madison and Max. Also, two stepsons Kevin (Lisa) Kumsher and their children Jackie and Mike and great-grandchild Oliver, and Jeff Kumsher and his daughter Misti and great-grandchildren Addison and Harper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Brian Kuebrich, his brother Larry Kuebrich and his son-in-law Brian Stoaks.
Arrangements are in the care of Crippin Funeral Home, Montrose, Colorado and Lensing Funeral Home, Iowa City, Iowa.
