Constance (Connie) Leah Harms, age 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. A resident of Tyler, Tx, she was born October 2, 1947, in Freeport, Illinois. She graduated from Freeport High School and married Stephen Harms August 25, 1967. They were married 47 years. Connie lived in Tyler, Tx 33 years and moved to Azle, Tx for 12 years then returned to Tyler in 2021. Connie was a member of First Baptist Church in Azle during her time there and a member of Grace Community Church for most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stephen Harms; her parents, Tom and Shirley Alden; her in-laws, Ken and Betty Harms; her grandson, Dyllan Thomas Harms; and her sister-in-law, Debbie Harms.
Connie is survived by her four children, Stephenie Harms, Sherry Burgess and husband Aaron, Luke Harms, and Josh Harms and wife Katie. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Sylas Sandefer, Zachary Harms, Blake and Hadley Burgess, Kaiden Hodges Harms, Summer Harms, and Abi Harms; three great-grandchildren; her brother, Denny Alden and wife, Linda; and her extended family, Stan Harms and wife, Judy, Joe Harms and wife, Ann, Sharon Harms, and Ron Harms.
A celebration of life will be held at Grace Community Church, 3215 Old Jacksonville Rd., Tyler, TX 75701, on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 11:00 am. Flowers will be received at the church on the Friday before or as early as Saturday at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Mercy Ships, P.O. Box 1930, Garden Valley, TX 75771 or www.mercyships.org in honor of Connie Harms.
