Daniel Robinson

Daniel Buren Robinson was called to his eternal home, Monday morning, July 31, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born November 17, 1946 in Newton, Mississippi to Elzie Robinson and Eileen Mitchell Robinson. At the time of his passing, he was seventy-six years, eight months and fourteen days of age.
He was raised in Liberty, Missouri and graduated from Liberty High School. On August 23, 1969, Dan married his high school sweetheart and best friend, Debbie Groom. They welcomed three wonderful sons to their family and raised them in the Kansas City area.
Dan was a carpenter by trade and joined the Carpenters Union in 1971. He did commercial drywall work and was very accomplished at what he did.
He was saved as an adult and was baptized in Kansas City and was a member of the Church of God. He and Debbie became members of Second Baptist Church Lebanon after retiring and moving to Long Lane. He shared his faith with his family and friends.
Dan was so very proud of his sons. When the boys were young, he loved traveling with them out west, going hiking and taking in the wonderful and majestic sights. He and Debbie also did lots of traveling. Their most recent trip was a cruise to Mexico where they had a good time and had many stories to tell when they returned.
Dan also loved having a vegetable garden and being outside.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of nearly fifty-four years, Debbie; his three sons, Dr. David Robinson and his wife, Aimee of Shorewood, Illinois, Dr. Michael Robinson and his wife, Heidi of Jacksonville, Florida and Matthew Robinson and his wife, Tiffany of Maryville, Missouri; his eight grandchildren, Bekah, Luke, Ethan, Sarah, Noah, Nathan, Rachel and Levi and a ninth grandbaby on the way; and three great-grandchildren, Angel, Ariela and Aleia.
There is no doubt the love that Dan had for his Heavenly Father and his beautiful family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were so very special to him and brought him so much pride and happiness.
Dan and Debbie had a life-long love. You very rarely saw one without the other. They stood by each other through the good times and trying times of life and kept God at the head of their marriage. Dan leaves a legacy of love for God, his family, and was a leader in his family. His family will treasure his memory for years to come.
