Deborah A. Herrmann

Deborah "Deby" A. Herrmann, 65, of Freeport, IL passed away Monday February 5, 2024 at FHN Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born January 26, 1959 in Freeport, IL to Herbert and Lorraine (Thobe) Marsh. On October 11, 1980 she married Joe Herrmann at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Freeport. Deby was employed at Sentry Insurance for many years. One of her favorite hobbies was going shopping, especially with her sister. Deby was known for being very crafty. Traveling with her family was another great joy in her life. She especially loved the beach and going on cruises. Deby also loved Christmas and decorating her house for all the holidays. She loved all her dogs, including Bingley. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Her family will always remember going to her father "Bub's" house for big family breakfasts.
She is survived by her husband Joe of Freeport; son Tyler Herrmann of South Elgin, IL, daughter Megan Herrmann of Sun Prairie, WI; brothers Greg (Cindy) Marsh of Livingston, WI and Jeff (Diane) Marsh of South Wayne, WI; sister Janet (Bill) Meyers of Forreston, IL; her mother-in-law Betty Herrmann of Freeport and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Deby is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral mass will be 10:30 A.M. Friday February 9, 2024 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Freeport with Father Peter Snieg officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of mass. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial for St. Judes has been established in Deby's memory.
