Donna Blanks Obituary

Donna was born on July 8, 1947 in Buncombe County to the late Liston Gabe and Betty Vess Peek. She was a 1966 graduate of Owen High School and a member of Nealsville Church of God. Donna was a cosmetologist who owned and operated beauty shops in both Swannanoa and Old Fort for over 40 years.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 33 years, Lewis Blanks; daughters, Kimberly Winters (Mathes Mennell) and Misty Candia (Michael); son, Kevin Toups; brother, Tommy Peek (Vangie); grandchildren, Lillian Winters, Emma Winters, Kayden Toups, Jonny Mennell, Megan Mennell, and James Mennell; and nephews, Gabe and Stacy Peek.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 1:30 to 2:30pm at Harwood Home for Funerals and Cremation Services. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at the funeral home. The burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregiver, Dana Reynolds.
