She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward McClendon; parents, James Craig Shahan Sr. and Fannie Love Shahan; and siblings, James Craig Shahan Jr., Clara Lee Price, Howard Shahan, Bernard Shahan, and Nell Kay.
She is survived by her son, Van McClendon; grandchildren, Kimberly McClendon (whom she thought of as her daughter) and Justin McClendon; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 12 p.m. Thursday, March 2, at Macedonia Cemetery in Villanow.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
