Mr. Earl "Buck" Dawson Wilkerson age 92, of Louisville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, March 11, 2024. He was born on September 29, 1931 in Hart County, Kentucky to the late James Asbury Wilkerson and Ersie Mae Kinney Wilkerson.
He was a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean War. He attended Cooper Memorial United Methodist Church and had retired from General Electric after 35 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family and pets, gardening and feeding the neighborhood birds and wildlife.
Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Peggy Perkins Wilkerson, having united in marriage on November 21, 1958; sister, Mary Harp; brothers, James "Clayton" Wilkerson and Laymon Wilkerson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Pamela "Chris" Robinson (Clifford); grandchildren, Jeremie DeVincentis (Mary), Dani DeVincentis, Samantha Robinson and Clifford Robinson, III; great grandchildren, Makenna Hall and Caleb Vaught; granddogs, Zoey and Mato and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 12 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 3 pm until 8 pm and on Saturday from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home.
