Charlene Beville Higdon

Charlene Beville Higdon, 80, of Mt. Washington formerly of Leitchfield, Kentucky passed away Tuesday November 11, 2025. She was a retired from the Jefferson County Public Schools, a 1963 graduate of the old Leitchfield High School, she was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Mt. Washington. Charlene was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Catholic Church in Leitchfield, KY.,
She loved spending time with her family and friends and especially her church friends that she would meet at Crystal's Diner in Mt. Washington.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband in 1993 of 26 years, 3 months and 10 days, Paul W. "Butch" Higdon ; parents, Ambie and James Beville; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Stefani Higdon ; son, Jason Higdon (Tracy) ; brother, Mike Beville (Maggie) ; 4 grandsons, William Doss, Grayson Doss (Alexa), Scott Higdon (Elizabeth) and Montay Ingram ; great granddaughter, Freya Doss ; many nieces and nephews.
Her mass of christian burial will be 11:00 a.m. CDT Tuesday November 18, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leitchfield, KY., with burial to follow in the church cemetery, Visitation will be Monday November 17, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Schmid Funeral Home in Mt. Washington. A prayer vigil will be held Monday at 5:00 p.m..
