Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Kendall
Age 81 of Wilkins Township, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023. Born on January 11, 1942, she was the granddaughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth Scanlon and the daughter of the late Romolo and Margaret Cipro. Betty retired at the age of 70, as the Finance Director at the Rebecca Residence at Concordia. She was an active board member of the LGAR Health and Rehab Center and was a past President of both the Eastmont Baseball and Swim clubs. She was an avid reader and loved to spend her time playing card and board games with her family. Betty is survived by her children, Coleen (Jon Hornung) Downie, Kathleen (Paul) Lindstrom, and William N. (Kellie) Kendall; grandchildren, Alex Downie, Cailin Downie, Sara Downie, Kendall Lindstrom, Casey Lindstrom, Stephen Lindstrom, Shane Lindstrom, Austin Kendall and Morgan Kendall; also survived by William H. Kendall and David Downie, and her loving canine companion Missy. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, located at 100 Resurrection Rd, Coraopolis, PA 15108, with everyone meeting directly at the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Animal Friends of Pittsburgh, 562 Camp Horne Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
