Emilia (Perez) Orozco passed away unexpectedly after surgery on July 10, 2023, at the age of 78. The daughter of Miguel Perez and Francisca Munoz was born in León Guanajuato, México on August 8, 1944, but lived most of her life in Milwaukee. On November 7,1959 she married her lifelong friend and soulmate, Jose Julian Orozco. They were married for 64 years and had 10 children.
Emilia grew up in Mexico in a farming community and worked very hard from a young age. It was there that she met Julian Orozco, a boy from a neighboring farm. They got married at a young age and spent the rest of their lives devoted to each other and their children.
Emilia was a quiet, loving, and humble soul who expressed her love through acts of kindness and cooking. She was a soft-spoken woman that loved her family unconditionally and always treated her sons and daughters-in-law as her own children. She was a self-taught seamstress who made clothes for her kids, and she continued a loving tradition of knitting and crocheting clothing for her grandchildren. She was well-known for making the best mole around and often baked special treats for her children. She was a faithful Catholic woman with a special devotion to the Virgen del Carmen.
Emilia is deeply loved and will forever be missed by her loving husband of 64 years, Jose Julian Orozco, her ten children: the late Jose and Juan, (infant twin sons), Rosalino (Carolina) Orozco, Patrocinio (Rodolfo) Mora, Josefina (Domingo) Muñoz, Maria D. (Juan P.) Melendez, the late Yolanda (Jose) Castillo, Leticia Orozco, Miguel (Guadalupe) Orozco, and Emilia (Adrian) Melendez, along with 27 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings, Josefina Perez, Francisca Perez, Julia Perez and Alberto Perez.
In addition to her twin infant sons, Jose and Juan, and her daughter, Yolanda, she was preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Francisca (Munoz) Perez.
Her visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Randle-Dable Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. Visitation continues on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the 12:00 PM funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
