Frank Stout, 88, of Pampa, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, in Pampa.
Services will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, officiating and Rick Parnell, retired Baptist minister, assisting. A private family burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, March 13, 2023, at the funeral home.
Frank was born on February 1, 1935, in Graford, Texas to Seth and Antonia Stout. He attended school in Graford and joined the U.S. Army on September 20, 1954. He was honorably discharged in July of 1958 with the ranking of Corporal. Frank married the love of his life, Betty Via on December 11, 1954, in Graford. The couple shared 68 wonderful years of marriage together.
In 1963, Frank and Betty moved to Pampa. Frank first worked for the Cabot Carbon Black plant. After several years, he began working for Dorchester Gasoline, and then the Franklin Ranch. In his free time, Frank absolutely loved bass fishing and going camping. He also enjoyed making homemade knives and cherished every minute he got to spend with his family.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Vicky Calloway; son-in-law, Calvin Calloway; and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of the home; son, Chris Stout and wife Renee of Pampa; three grandchildren, Bryan Stout and wife Selena, and Craig Stout and wife Jessica, all of Kingwood, and Sean Calloway and wife Crystall of Albuquerque, New Mexico; six great-grandchildren, Cayden, Creed, Coleson, Lyric, Linley, and Scarlett; two sisters, Fay Culp and Barbara Pratt, both of Plano; brother, Nick Stout of Perrin; and numerous other extended family members.
Memorials can be made to Central Baptist Church, 513 E. Francis Ave., Pampa, Texas, 79065.
