Milton "MC" Clarence Simpson, age 75, of Pampa, Texas, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Born June 2, 1950, in his lifelong hometown of Pampa, MC was the beloved son of Leo Simpson and Lillie Reynods Chamberlain.
MC attended local Pampa schools before starting his career in the oilfield. After an injury ended his time there, he found a new calling behind the wheel of a big rig, spending the past 20 years as a semi-truck driver. Driving became his office on wheels and a source of pride.
He married Gena Moore Izzard, and together they raised five children before going their separate ways. MC's love of working with his hands led him to become an avid tinkerer, especially with cars. He was always ready to lend a hand, whether checking on his elderly neighbor Walt or helping anyone in need. Known for his mischievous spirit and sense of humor, MC was a jokester, always quick with a quip and the loudest laugh in the room. He brought joy to those around him, spreading cheer wherever he went. Beneath the playful exterior, he was a simple man with a heart of gold, devoted to helping others and lifting their spirits.
MC was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Lillie.
He is survived by his five children: Michael Chad Simpson of Pampa, Billy Simpson of Las Vegas, NV, Jess Simpson of California, Raynell Simpson and Carla Simpson, both of Las Vegas, NV; two sisters: Linda Simpson Hall and husband Phil of Eagles Nest, NM, Wynona "Punkin" Simpson Gilleland of Pampa; ten grandchildren: Emily Simpson, Briana Simpson, Quaid Barrientos, Lezlee Simpson, Jess Jr Simpson, Tyler Simpson, Destiny Simpson, Jason Simpson, Asley Sprowls, and Jason Sprowls; two very close and special friends: Linda West of Wheeler and Harry West of Canyon; and a large extended family who will carry his memory forward.
In accordance with MC's wishes, no formal services will be held. The family has entrusted Winegeart Funeral Home with his cremation arrangements. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Milton, please visit our floral store.
