Lt. Colonel George G. Beckwith, U.S. Army Retired, 93 of Kissimmee, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2025. He was born in Vermilion, South Dakota the son of Clarence and Dorothy Beckwith. George moved to Kissimmee, Florida in 1974 from Maryland. He was a retired Lt. Colonel in the United States Army where he served his Country with Honor and Distinction. George was also the past president of the Full Gospel Businessmens Association International, past president of the Audubon Society, Cub Scout Master and chaplain with the jailed ministries.
George is survived by his loving wife: Rebecca Powell Beckwith of Kissimmee, Florida; her sons: George Beckwith and his wife Kimberly of Alabama and Glen C. Beckwith of Pinson, Alabama; his daughters: Dorothy Beckwith of Kissimmee, Florida and Charlotte Beckwith of Kissimmee, Florida; his two grandchildren: Hannah Beckwith and Samuel Beckwith.
A graveside service for Lt. Colonel George G. Beckwith, U.S. Army Retired will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025 at 1:30 P.M. at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513, where he will be accorded Military Honors.
