Georgia Sue Denney

Georgia Sue Denney, 80, of El Dorado, KS, formerly of Great Bend, KS passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023. A memorial graveside service will be held at Longton Cemetery, Elk County, KS at a later date. Georgia was born in Neodesha, KS on October 18, 1942, to the late Bertha (Payne) and Walter Arnold. She was a nursing home CNA for many years. She enjoyed living at LakePoint Nursing Home, El Dorado in her later years and was very involved in the activities there including a sewing group. On November 10, 1962 she married Jerry Denney. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ruby Mclaughlin and Nadeane Hughes. She is survived by: sons, Joe Denney and wife Sharon of Great Bend, KS and Kit Denney of Great Bend, KS; daughter, Michelle Spivey and husband Kurt of El Dorado, KS; sister, Sharon Nicholson of Fredonia, KS brother-in-law, Kenneth Thompson of Great Bend, KS; grandchildren, Katie Ranker (Joe), Kitsy Krehbiel (Colter), Kourtney Strobel (Chas), Jeremy Denney (Destiny), Jessica Nairn (Tyler), Justin Denney, Tiffany Robinson (Jason), Megan Swank (Jake), Ethan Spivey; and 14 great grandchildren.
