Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:30 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Gretta Pollock, 84, who passed away February 29, 2024 at The Calcutta House. Father Russell Harrington will conduct the funeral services. Kerry Pollock and Karin Borel will serve as lectors. Karen Broussard, musician and vocalist, will perform, "Amazing Grace", "Ave Maria", "How Great Thou Art", "Hallelujah", and You Raise Me Up." Interment will follow the service in St. Peter Cemetery of Carencro.
Survivors include her two daughters, Karin P. (Troy) Borel of Lafayette, and Kelli P. (Chip) Sebastion of Lafayette; two sons, Keith James (Tawnya) Pollock of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kerry G. Pollock of Manassas, VA; six grandchildren, Ryan Millett, Traci Cooley, Seth Sebastian, Courtney Sebastian, Haley Pollock, and Tyler Pollock; and five great-great-grandchildren, Lexi Angelle Couley, Royce Cooley, Rucker Millett, Lawson Millett, and Caleb Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Pollock; parents, Inez and Errol Joseph Camelle; and one grandson, Kyle Pollock.
Gretta was a lifelong resident of Lafayette. She was a member of the St. Leo The Great and St. Elizabeth Seton Ladies Auxiliaries.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Millett, Tyler Pollock, Royce Cooley, Kerry Pollock, Troy Borel, and Chip Sebastian. Honorary pallbearers include Dennis Carriere, Keith James Pollock, and Seth Sebastian.
The family requests that visitation be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm, and resume Saturday morning from 8:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be prayed Friday evening at 6:00 pm.
