Harold Edwin McCord

BATAVIA TOWNSHIP - Harold Edwin McCord, Age 89, went to be with the lord on December 20, 2022. Husband of the late Shirley Jean McCord (nee Price). Loving father of Clifford (Colleen) McCord, Linda Wagner and Tami McCord. Brother to the Late Juanita Hilker, Tommy (Nancy) Wiedemeyer, the late Jerry McCord, and Sharon (Ron) Mabrey. Also survived by numerous Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Harold was a textbook family man. Everything he did was for his family and to show his immense love for them. He entered the Navy before finishing high school, serving during the Korean War. He would come back and turn his attention to the bible. He studied at the Cincinnati Bible Seminary, graduating as an ordained minister, but he never lead a congregation himself. He was a Christian and desired that for everyone he met but most of all his family. He was the definition of "Father". He passed on many lessons to his family. His basement walls were lined with pictures outlining his life. From his childhood, his parents, in-laws, children and grandchildren. He was definitely the Patriarch.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 4th, 202023,23 from 9 AM until 11 AM service at Mt. Carmel Christian Church 4110 Bach Buxton Rd. Batavia, Ohio 45103. Interment Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
