Jack Leroy Davis, Jr., 57, of Kewanee, Illinois, passed away at 4:22 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Royal Oaks Care Center in Kewanee. Jack was born June 19, 1967, in Galesburg, the son of Jackie Leroy and Rosetta Joyce (Louthan) Davis, Sr.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother and stepfather, Joyce (Joe) Brunson of Loco, Oklahoma; five siblings: Angela (Justin) Johnson of Peoria, Illinois, Elizabeth (Ronnie) Gregory of Galesburg, Dawn (Joshua) Hidden of Abingdon, Illinois, Shawn (Robin) Stipp of Florence, Arizona and Jennifer Brunson of Ringling, Oklahoma; two step-brothers, Ricky (Julie) Brunson of Michigan and Bobby Brunson of the Philippines; eleven nieces and seven nephews; two aunts, Debbie (Conrad) Dryer of Marshall, Wisconsin, and Kathy Rich of Missouri; and two uncles, Doug (Donna) Curry of Cameron, Illinois, and Gary Davis of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his father; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and one uncle, Norman Davis.
Jack loved life. He was a bit of a jokester and had a great sense of humor. Being the oldest out of six siblings, he was an amazing big brother. Kept them on their toes from time to time but always put up a good fight. Jack enjoyed singing, playing cards and pool, and watching football. He played in a few pool leagues over the years and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Jack was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend and will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2025 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory in Galesburg. Chaplain Jordan Knight will officiate. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to The Woods at Sharon in Peoria.
