Annie Margaret Blanche (Frampton) Davis (1929-2025)
Born March 7, 1929 in the little outport town Gin Cove, Newfoundland, Annie Frampton Davis (96) passed away peacefully on Oct. 28, 2025, in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. She was the daughter of Capt. Daniel Frampton and Louisa (Pitcher) Frampton. Married in Elizabeth, NJ, in 1954, she was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Leslie "Max" Davis. The oldest of five children, Annie was also predeceased by her brothers Capt. Maxwell Frampton and Reginald Frampton. Left to mourn is another brother, Graham Frampton (Halifax, Nova Scotia), along with her sister Jean Ellis (Ken) (St John's Newfoundland), her sister-in-law Ethel Frampton (St John's, NL), her daughter Diane Martin (Ed), (Freeport, FL), her son Reginald Davis (Beth) (John's Creek, GA), as well as four married grandchildren, Michael Davis (Laura), Daniel Martin (Leslie), Christie Martin McNeal (L.V.), and Andrew Davis (Lauren), seven great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Annie immigrated to the US in 1954 to marry Max. She was always proud of becoming a US citizen although she never forgot her proud Newfoundland heritage. Max and Annie lived a full life together, having homes in Miami, Memphis, Greensboro, NC, Dunwoody and Gainesville, GA, and finally Santa Rosa Beach, FL They even lived for two years on their houseboat on Lake Lanier, GA, had other 2nd homes in FL and traveled extensively in their RV.
Annie, a top graduate in math, attended Prince of Wales College in St John's, NL and then went to work as an administrative assistant and book keeper while running a household and raising her children.
Annie welcomed everyone into her home. With a memorable laugh, she loved talking to people and telling stories of her childhood in Newfoundland. She loved a good party, especially her own birthdays, loved to read, to watch "The Golf," to cook, to feed her "birds" and to be with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and grand dogs.
