Jack J. JONES, 72, of Wellsville, NY, died Wednesday, July 19, 2023 in Mercy Hospital, Buffalo.
Born September 7, 1950, in Wellsville, he was the son of Robert and Rachel J. McAllister Jones. Jack attended Whitesville Central School. He was employed by the Parks and Recreation Department with the Village of Wellsville. Jack was a member of Wellsville Moose.
Surviving are: two daughters, Melanie (Randy) Doerr of Jacksonville, NC and Melinda (Jason) Dunham Raleigh, NC; four grandchildren, Megan Doerr, Brandon Doerr, Sadie Dunham, and Savannah Dunham; five siblings, Nancy Payne of North Fork, PA, Susan Cornish, Debbie Button, Becky (Victor) Torpey, all of Wellsville, and Tom (Lisa) Jones of Olean; uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Jones; a brother, David Jones; and a sister, Linda Force.
Services will be private. Cremation was at Olney-Foust Private Crematory.
