Jackie Hunter Smith

Ms. Jackie H. Smith, 77, of High Point, NC, departed this life on Monday, January 2, 2023, at her residence. She was born on August 8, 1945, in Lancaster, SC, a daughter of the late John and Ruby Hunter. Jackie was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Spratt; two brothers, Lewis Hunter and Billy Joe Hunter; and one grandson, Tyler J. Briley.
Jackie was a graduate of William Penn High School, Class of 1964. She was a longtime employee of Talent Sports, and longtime part-time employee with Dawkins Maintenance. Jackie was a dedicated member of Williams Memorial C.M.E. Church, where she attended faithfully and was an active participant on the Senior Usher Board for a number of years.
Jackie leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Yvette Briley (Doug), Coretta Smith, and Victoria MacDonald (Bill); one granddaughter, Courtney Allen; four grandsons, Michael Allen, Justin Briley, William MacDonald, III, and Nehemiah MacDonald; four great-grandchildren, Laylah Briley, Joy Briley, Ayden Allen, and Michael Allen, Jr.; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, January 6, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at William Memorial C.M.E. Church 3400 Triangle Lake Road. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 p.m. until 12:30 p.m.
