Jim Baer, formerly of Jackson, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on 6/11/2022 at the age of 83. Jim, the son of Gladys and Philip Baer, was born in Newark, N.J., graduated from Weequahic High School and Seton Hall University and had a very fulfilling career in the men's clothing business. Jim's passions included family, golf, fishing, and anything related to food and his amazing sense of humor and repertoire of jokes and stories will be much missed by his family and many friends. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life's challenges with a smile. Jim was predeceased by his loving wife, Jill and is survived by his best friend and sister, Leslie Gore and his devoted and loving step son and daughter-in-law, Christine & Richard Leggett and his step grandchildren, Henry, Harrison and Emmeline Leggett. A celebration of Jim's life will be held in the Fall and he will be interred in Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport, N.J. The family requests that any condolences be expressed in the form of contributions in Jim's name to.
