"Together Again"
James Emerson, 93, of Uniontown, passed away at Roselane SNF on October 3, 2022. He was born to the late James and Zilpah (Martin) Emerson, September 9, 1929, in Akron, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Geraldine Emerson; son, Michael Emerson, of whom he was extremely proud of, in May of 2022; and sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Frederick Bruschke.
A 1947 graduate of Greensburg High School, Jim served in the United States Army. He retired from Storch Baking Company, where he had been employed in sales. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and served as an usher for many, many years. He enjoyed golfing and the many times he and Geraldine traveled to Myrtle Beach.
Family and friends are invited for visitation on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Messiah Lutheran Church, 4700 S. Main Street, Akron, where a Memorial Service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Lucas McSurley will officiate.
