In Loving Memory of Larry J. Klettlinger, Devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather 

Larry Joseph Klettlinger, age 70, passed away on October 25, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. 

Born on February 27, 1955, Larry grew up in the Mogadore / Suffield area. In his teen years, he enjoyed playing the drums for the Mogadore High School Band. Larry graduated from The University of Akron in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Technology. For the next 39 years he worked for Ohio Power Company/AEP, until his retirement in 2018. During his lifetime, Larry was a man who cherished the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed attending performing arts events with his wife, spending time with his family, making homemade sausage, and tending to his garden. On Saturday mornings his home was filled with the sound of polkas, and he was a devoted fan of Star Trek. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Dora. He leaves behind his loving wife of 44 years, Donna; children Nathan (Jennifer) Klettlinger, Angela (Robert) Hague, Stephanie (Adam) Garvin, Deanna Klettlinger; grandchildren Isabella, Isaac, Elliot, Clementine, Emilia, Evander. He is also survived by his siblings Daniel (Cindy) Klettlinger, Lisa Oeltjen, Susan (George) Aronhalt; as well as many other relatives and friends. 

For those who wish to make a donation honoring Larry’s life, the family suggests a gift of flowers or a contribution to St. Jude’s’s Children’s Research Hospital. Family and friends will be received Thursday, October 30th from 3 to 5pm and 6 to 8pm at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale St. NW, Uniontown, OH 44685. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 31st at 10:30am at St. Matthew Parish Catholic Church, 2603 Benton Ave. Akron, OH 44312. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Mogadore.
