Ethel devoted 35 years to teaching in the Springfield Local Schools district, instructing students from third through eighth grade. In her final eight years before retirement, she especially enjoyed teaching middle school math, a subject she approached with enthusiasm and clarity.
Her life centered around family and faith. She raised her children within the supportive community of Grace United Church of Christ, where she was an active member for many years.
Ethel is lovingly remembered by her son Gerald Mohn and his wife Beth; her daughter Lori Bello; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Mohn; parents Russell and Laurena Vaughan; brother Donald Vaughan; son-in-law Jerry Bello; and daughter-in-law Caroline Mohn.
In retirement, Ethel found joy in gardening and traveling. She also cherished time spent with friends through lunch groups that kept her socially engaged.
