John P. Byler, age 54, went home to be with the Lord on September 26, 2025.
John was raised in Hartville, Ohio and lived in Greentown, Ohio with his wife, Holly and daughter, Abigail. John was employed by GrassMaster Lawn Care for nine years. John was an avid Cleveland Sports and Ohio State fan. He enjoyed camping, attending Hoover football games to watch Abigail in the marching band. He especially enjoyed listening to Abi play her violin. His dogs also left paw prints on his heart!
John was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Byler and father-in-law, David Hohlbaugh. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Holly (Hohlbaugh) Byler, daughter Abigail, mother Miriam Raber (Alfred), mother-in-law Carolyn Hohlbaugh, brother Vern Byler, sisters: Mary Jo Miller (Moses), Norma Miller (James), Juanita Hershbarger (Joe), sisters-in-law: Betty Kern (Steve), Heather Hohlbaugh, brother-in-law David Hohlbaugh and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, October 2nd from 4 to 7pm at Evermore Community Church, 1470 Smith Kramer St. NE, Hartville, OH 44632. Funeral service will be held Friday, October 3rd at 10:30am at the church with burial to follow at Greentown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
