James Quann Obituary
James Edward Quann, 79, of Stanardsville died Thursday, October 9, 2008, at the Evergreene Nursing Home in Stanardsville.
Born July 2, 1929, he was the son of the late Andrew T. and Gladys Jarrell Quann. Also preceding him in death was a brother-in-law, Ernest Webb.
Mr. Quann is survived by a niece, Sharon Bowman and her husband, Evan, and their son, Bryce, all of Barboursville.
A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2008, at the Graham Cemetery in Orange, conducted by the Reverend David Knighton. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, P.O. Box 648, Orange, VA 22960.
Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is in charge of arrangements.

Sharon,
I was shocked and sad to hear today of Jim's passing. Due to health problems, I had not seen him in a while. I have always missed him living next door and seeing your Dad visiting here at Lake Monticello. I couldn't have had a better neighbor and friend. Just know that they are at peace now.
