He was born July 19, 1944, in Pine Grove, WV, a son of late James Oscar Lee and Opal Pauline Lowe Shreve.
He was a retired welder and pipe fitter at PPG, a Protestant by faith, a U. S. Army veteran, member of Moose Lodge 931 New Martinsville, and liked to golf and bowl.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Lenora Utt and Julia Ann (Joseph) Morris; and brother-in-law, William Utt.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Sharon Shreve; daughter, Ashley Summers of New Martinsville, WV; two brothers, Stanley (Sally) Shreve of New Martinsville, WV and Dwight (Theresa) Shreve of TX; two sisters, Elaine (Bob) Parsons of Zanesville, OH, Nila Nice of Wheeling, WV; two grandsons, Aidan Summers and Tristan (Zoa Duke) Summers; two granddaughters, Jensyn Summers and McKenzie Summers; 4 great grandchildren, Grace Summers, Jace Summers, Fraya Summers and Crue Summers; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
