Janet Kay Dyer-Keys

Janet Kay Dyer (Keys) went to her final resting place on June 28, 2023 at the age of 62.
Janet was born to Clint and Jean Keys in Grand Junction, Colorado on August 17, 1960. At 2 years old, the family moved to Hollis, Oklahoma where Janet grew up and graduated from Hollis High School in 1978. After high school, Janet attended Clarendon College where she was a nursing student and later graduated in Medical Technology and Phlebotomy. Janet's career involved working overseas in Germany for Army Medical as Phlebotomist and Lab Supervisor. She continued her work in Oklahoma after returning from Germany at the Oklahoma Blood Institute, for private physicians, and DLO. In 2018, Janet graduated Sigma Lau Theta in Medical Administration from Walden University. Janet utilized her degree for the CDC in providing statistics for COVID and infectious diseases.
Janet loved to travel in her car, visiting relatives, going to concerts, and attending family events, graduations, and weddings. Janet's hobby was taking pictures and making sure enough pictures were available for everyone involved. Janet is a member of Charity Free Will Baptist Church where she is happiest.
Janet was preceded in death by her grandparents, Andy and Vergie Owens and Gertie Robinson. She was also preceded in death by her father, Clint Keys and two brothers, Riki D'Von and Jason Keys.
Janet is survived by her son, Jonathan; her mother, Jean Keys; her sister, D'Lene and brother-in-law, Eddie Watson. Her surviving family also includes nieces and nephews, Clint and Danielle Hyatt, and Kevin and McKenna Enide; her aunt, Heidi Owens; and 3 uncles, Ronnie, Donnie, and Connie Robinson.
The funeral is scheduled for Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 10 AM at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel in Midwest City. Visitation will be Friday evening, June 30, 2023 from 6 to 8 PM. Burial will be at Altus, Oklahoma Cemetery.
