He was an equipment operator with a local sand and gravel company.
His parents, Domingo Avila Ereejon and Maria Huerta Chavez, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Carmen Anguiano Huerta; two sons, Alex Avila Anguiano and wife, Maria, of La Grange, and Edgar Avila Anguiano of Seven Springs; a daughter, Itzel Avila Anguiano of Seven Springs; and several brothers and sisters.
A viewing/visitation will be Saturday, January 15, from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home followed by a funeral mass at 2 p.m. at Maria Reyna Catholic Church, 636 Whitfield Road, Mount Olive, NC
