Joanne Hijazi Obituary
Born in Chicago, IL, she has been a resident of Stow since 1999. Joanne was the owner of her own cleaning business, Tidy Maids LLC, retiring in 2011. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Cuyahoga Falls and a very devout Catholic.
Joanne enjoyed spending her time with her beloved husband, children, and seven grandchildren. She found pleasure in maintaining her beautiful garden, and watching her favorite soap operas. Most of all, she cherished every moment being "Mimi" to her seven grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart.
Joanne was preceded in death by her father, Frank Lombardi; mother, Margaret Liuzzo; stepfather, James Liuzzo, and brother, Gaetano Liuzzo. She is survived by her husband, Abe; sisters, Audrey Lombardi, Diane Brewah (Daniel), Catherine Liuzzo, and brother, Michael Liuzzo; children, Amneh Walukonis (Ryan) and Mohammed Hijazi (Natasja); grandchildren, Xavier, Everett, Oliver, Genevieve, and Vivienne Walukonis, and Waylon and Westlon Hijazi.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2022, from 4 PM until 7 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 10 AM, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls 44223, Fr. Thomas McCann celebrant. Burial Silver Springs Cemetery.
Should friends desire, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
