John Joseph Bergeron

John J. Bergeron, age 68, passed away peacefully at his home on September 7, 2023, in the presence of his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jeanette Langley Bergeron, his children, Jeffery Bergeron, and Valerie Bergeron Henning, and his grandchildren, John Henning, Jr., Emelie Henning, Addyson Bergeron, and Isabell Bergeron. He preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Marilyn Bergeron.
Born in Houma, La., to Alfred Joseph Bergeron and Marilyn Brister Bergeron, he was raised in Houna and graduated from Terrebonne High School in 1973. He joined the Navy in 1973, serving proudly and honorably for 22 years and retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. He married his lovely bride, Jeanette, in 1973 as well, later raising a family and traveling the world together. He was very proud of his military service and will be interned at the Southeast Lousiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell, La., at a later date.
