He is survived by his wife, Diane; daughter, Cathleen Cassel (Bruce); sons, Christopher, Paul (Andrea) and Shawn DeMeo; step-daughter, Christine Fersch (Brian) and step-son, David Brockman (Jerian). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Thomas, Charles, Alex, Elizabeth and Joseph DeMeo, Erin Krutchkoff, Aylin and Eleri Fersch, Colin and Gracyn Brockman. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Constantine.
Joe enjoyed living at the Jersey Shore with Diane. He was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish and volunteered in the Food Pantry and loved the camaraderie of those he worked with. He also was a board member of the Italian Cultural Society of LBI. He will be remembered for being kind hearted and generous to everyone and always being ready to do errands for anyone. His summer trips to the various bakeries on LBI will be fondly remembered by all of us who reaped the benefits. The family will receive visitors at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 4700 Long Beach Boulevard, Long Beach Township, NJ 08008. Donations can be made in Joe's memory to St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 4700 Long Beach Boulevard, Long Beach Township, New Jersey 08008.
