I think of Joe quite often. He always sought me out if he knew I was around. He spoke so respectfully, but with joy in his voice. There was never a time that he didn't remind me when he was “missing” for a few hours and every neighbor scoured the entire neighborhood, that he was just across the yard with my dog Jack! They were both in the dog house - literally. But didn’t Joe fall asleep in there? Jack loved Joe, as did the entire neighborhood. Some blessings in life don’t live as long as we’d like, but I guess his work here was done. I hope he gets to visit with Jack every day. You are missed, Little Mooch!

To Rose, Mike, Sally, and the rest of the Mucci family, my heartfelt condolences on the loss of you brother Joe. Over the past 12 years or so, I had gotten to know Joe quite well. As a student of history and WWII buff, we had a connection with this mutual interest. He was an integral part of his Conneaut community and will be missed by all. I look forward to the August memorial for Joe.

Joe will be missed here in Conneaut. He was at all our American Legion parades and welcome provided he didn't stand behind the Squad and say "Fire". He was a friend of my nephews and always call me "Uncle Jr.". Our Parades will miss him.

To the family of Joe,

Dear Michael, Rose, Gloria, Ann & Nanny,
You are ALL part of who I am today. Sometimes your parents thought they had a 7th kid - me! I have felt blessed my entire life to have grown up in North Conneaut, sharing a yard with the Mucci family. Mike, Rose & Gloria were my playmates and we had so much fun together.
I was at your house the day your mom came home from the hospital with Little Joey. He was the first baby I ever got to hold and cuddle and give a bath, feed, and dress - and then babysit! When he was a bit older, Mary would allow Joe to run across the yard to our house. I can still see him running with an excited giggle. Of course, we all know the story of Joe disappearing for a few hours one summer day - we were all frantic. When Joe finally emerged from our dog, Jack's dog house, we couldn't believe he'd been in that little house with the dog for so long. We think he took a nap with the dog. Joe laughed and laughed - and from then on, every time I saw him he'd tell me how he remembered that day and how he loved Jack. Well, Joe - I grew to love you and every member of your family.
I can only express appreciation for what being your neighbor has meant to me since you moved to Williams Street and sadness that Leo, Mary and now Little Joey are no longer here. It was a privilege to share in their lives, and we have our wonderful memories. You each have a very special place in my heart - forever. I will always think of Joe on March 17, his birthday - as I did every year. Be well, Little Joe - and hug my dog for me! Love You!

Joe was always the welcomed face I liked to see every year when I would come to town for the D-day Reenactment. He was an Honorary member of our group for years. He will surely be missed by all in both our camp and on the battlefield.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family in this Time.
Godspeed Joe!

Too the Mucci Family,
I am sorry to hear of your great loss. Joe was such a wonderful neighbor and friend. Our family was so fortunate growing up, to have your family just across the street. I've never forgotten the familiar greeting I would get from him everytime he saw me..."Hey Jeffy" Joe was a good soul gone too soon. This world was a better place with him in it. RIP Mooch!!!

"Joooe" ~ will surely be missed.
It was an honor and privilege to have him showing up on scene to help, but also to keep things straightened around City Hall and the Streets Dept.
He was a genuine guy, true in heart and deed.
Watch over us up there Joe.
It's good to know the CAP experience is put into action now.

I am sorry to hear the news about Joe...I agree with everyone who said Joe always had a smile on his face and never was in a bad mood. You could always count on Joe to lift your spirits even when you were having a bad day! I am so glad that I spent some time this summer at the Reunion talking and catching up with him...
Rest in Peace, "Mooch".

My lil' bro Joe... He taught me patience, kindness, love. He made me into the teacher that I am today. Joey always wanted to be a soldier. In the end he fought as valiantly as any mature veteran. He was always the merriest soul, kind words to all. He will be missed by all of us. But I know he is with our lord now. xo Your loving sis Glo

I first Met Joe at the Reenactment in Conneaut, he always fell in with myself and my guys. The first year I meet him was in 2003, he came off the boat right next to me, I looked back and all I saw was a helment floating in the water, I went back and pulled him up out of the water carried him to the beach. That day forward Joe always stayed with my guys and always went on the boats with us. I will miss him a very very great man and will be missed this next year at Conneaut. Good Bye Joe.

To the Mucci family,
My deepest sympathy goes out to all of Joe's family members!! Joe was always a happy go lucky guy. Growing up in North Conneaut, such a nice small community, had it's advantages. We had many friends and Joe was one of them. Joe graduated a couple of years after I did. For years after we had graduated from high school he would recognize me on the street and bring up old times from growing up in North Conneaut. He will be sadly missed!! RIP Joe!!
Sincerely,
Teresa Harrington Parker
