Juan Puentes Obituary
Funeral service for Juan Manuel Puentes, age 60, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00 p.m Saturday, May 29, 2021, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel, Frederick, Oklahoma, with Rev. Jessie Puentes, officiating.
He passed away Wednesday, May, 26, 2021, at a Lawton, Oklahoma, hospital.
A visitation will be held Friday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born on June 11, 1960, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Florencio and Juana (Rivera) Puentes. Manuel grew up in Sentinel, Oklahoma, and also spent some time in California, Texas, & Arkansas before settling in Frederick, Oklahoma in 1989. He held various laborer jobs to include field worker, forklift driver, mechanic, carpenter and an Army National Guard Cannon Crewmember.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle to countless number of nieces & nephews.
He is survived by his wife: Rhonda Kelley, of the home in Frederick; sons: John Michael McDowell & wife Olivia, and Juan A. Puentes; daughters: Jessica Culler & husband Robert, and Victoria Puentes; grandchildren: Kayne Cullar, Gabriel Pesina, Alex Pesina, Silas & Savannah Cullar, Argenis Batista, Kiyah Cullar, Juan E. Puentes, Urijah Puentes, and Rolando Gaytan; great grandchildren: Lil Gilbert, Ruth, Audrey, Ophelia, Rayden, & Madelyn.
Brothers: Jose Puentes, David Puentes & wife Lupe, and Florencio Puentes & wife Cindy; sisters: Maria Lesniak & husband Steve, Anna Vasquez & husband Simon, Lupe Arumugam & husband Gam, Tina Longoria & husband Ramiro, Helen Richardson, and Valentina Perez & husband Juan, all of Tillman County, Oklahoma.
Manuel was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister: Raquel Gaucin; brother: Arnulfo Puentes; and a grandson Gilbert Pesina Jr.
