Born in Hungary on November 6, 1938, she was the daughter of Jozsef and Erzsebet (Princ) Markovics. At the age of 16, Julianna came to America to escape communism.
On November 12, 1955 in Hungary, Julianna married Joseph Santha who predeceased her on January 30, 2022. Together, they owned and operated Santha's Upholstery in Jefferson Valley. She was an interior decorator and he was an upholsterer. She had also worked as a cook at the rectory at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Jefferson Valley. Julianna dedicated her life to taking care of her family.
Julianna is survived by her children and their spouses, Joseph and Lynda Santha, Catherine and Robert "Rusty" Paone, and Valerie Santha; her grandchildren, Natalia, Alexa, Julianna, Veronica, Nicky and Danny; her great-grandchildren, Kai, Chase, Jaxon, Milania, Giada and Sienna; and many beloved siblings in Hungary.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday November 21, 2023 at 11:30am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
