Obituary of Karen Sue Smith
Karen Sue Smith, 75, wife of Dr. David C. Smith, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Frank and Virginia Koke Benke on November 22, 1946. In addition to her husband of 53 years, Karen will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Carrie (Paul) Widman, Christine Smith (Brett Meyer), and Beth Smith (Miguel Lazaro); her sisters, Marsha Mangan and Chris (Jim) Garner; sisters-in-law, Diane Sasse, Sharon (Gene) Billingsley, and Sherry Sasse; and her grandchildren, Kate Widman, Ella Widman, Nora Lazaro Smith, and Sofia Lazaro Smith.
Many thanks to our family, friends, and the people at Heritage Hospice for the love and care they gave Karen. We have been truly blessed by the Lord's presence and your prayers.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 6:00 PM. Graveside services will be on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery at 2:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Your Mission Matters P.O. Box 55393 Little Rock, AR 72215 or www.yourmissionmatters.org. Please select "Orphanage Kiley Stuesse Mission Center" or "Amazon Mission Organization (AMOR)".

David and family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of mourning. We had not met Karen but David was our dentist for many years. We always enjoyed going to the dentist to get to visit with our friend. He spoke lovingly about his Karen. What hope to know that there will be a reunion one day.
