Karl was united in marriage to Francis Voorhees September 2, 2001, in San Juan, Puerto Rico; she preceded him in death February 11, 2023.
Karl is survived by his daughters, Audrey McDaniel (Laura Voruz) of Naperville, Illinois and April Collins (Michael) of Lee Summit, Missouri; sons, Christopher "Chris" McDaniel of St. Louis, Missouri, and Roy Mason, Jr. (Sherry) of Carthage, Missouri; a sister, Joy Linella Hendrix of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Lauren (Karl), Connor (Sevanna), Hannah, Elizabeth, Zachary (Kala), Joshua (Marcie), Chloe (Zac), and Austin (Shayla); great grandchildren, Karl, Avery, Michael, Mattie, Talan, Eli, Clara, Lynleigh, Camden, Karter, and Kaselyn.
Karl is preceded in death by his wife Phyllis McDaniel (July 2000); wife, Francis McDaniel (February 2023); and his parents, Horace and Madge McDaniel.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2023, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri.
As per Karl's wishes, his body has been donated to the University of Missouri's School of Medicine Gift of Body Program.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
