Kathleen Patricia Stoverink, age 83, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 25, 1940 to Charles and Catherine Rosebrough (nee Walsh). She was married to John Stoverink for 60 years.
Kathleen was an devoted mother, she served as the brownie leader for her daughter's Girl Scout Group and also coached her daughter's volleyball team at St. Joseph's. She was a stay at home mom for many years acting as a coach, seamstress, driver, chef, and social director for her family and her siblings. She then went to work for her brother-in-law, James P. Devereux, CPA. In retirement she spent time with her beloved grandchildren, collecting dolls, playing cards and making teddy bears for the quilters at St. Joseph's.
Kathleen is survived by her Daughter, Jeanette Roscoe of Saint Louis, MO; Two Sons, Thomas Stoverink of Wentzville, MO, David (Kasey) Stoverink of Diamondhead, MS; Three Granddaughters, Sarah (Caleb) Jackson, Emily (Darren) Smith, Samantha Stoverink; Two Grandsons, Mason Stoverink, Dylan Stoverink; Step-Grandson, Tyler Paule; Two Step-Grandchilds, Gracie Hooker, Danielle Hooker; Great-Grandchild, Aleta Jackson; Great-Granddaughter, Amelia Jackson; Brother, Fr. Robert T. Rosebrough; Sister, Dolores M. (James P.) Devereux; and a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, John Anthony Stoverink; Daughter, Julie Estes; Father, Charles Axtel Rosebrough; Mother, Catherine Estelle Rosebrough; and Three Brothers, Donald M. Rosebrough, Dennis F. Rosebrough, Charles A. Rosebrough, Jr.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. A funeral mass will take place the following morning, Friday, December 22, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cottleville. A luncheon will follow at the church hall. Interment will be private at a later date.
