LaDonna M. Krichbaum Barr, 84
LaDonna M. Krichbaum Barr, 84 of Ashland passed away, Monday, August 29, 2022 in her home.
She was born on March 22, 1938 in Loudonville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Herman and Catherine (nee Busler) Mott.
LaDonna graduated from Loudonville High School, Class of 1956.
She retired after more than 20 years from Ashland Chemical in 2001. LaDonna was previously employed at Kent Sporting Goods and Cresco Manufacturing.
LaDonna was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Throughout her life, she enjoyed baking, yard work, tending to her flower beds and listening to music. She always welcomed the opportunity to go out to dinner with both family and friends. One of her greatest passions was playing cards both Euchre and Pinochle and playing Dominoes.
She is survived by two daughters, Cindy (Don) Beecher of Greenwich and Lisa (Skip) Stull of Perrysville; one son, Rex (Karen) Krichbaum of Ashland; ten grandchildren, Salena (Jay) Chio, Catharine (Shane) Dusz, Josh (Katie) Drushel, Kenya (Perry Danals) Krichbaum, and Jordan, Zemed, and Kendra Krichbaum, Luke Stull, Belinda (Andrew) Foster, and Chad (Rachel) Beecher; 15 great grandchildren; her best friend and brother, Larry Mott of Wooster; a brother, Jim (Lilah) Mott of Perrysville; three sisters-in-laws, Helen Mott of Perrysville, Fannie Mott of Perrysville, and Carol Mott of Perrysville; special friend, John VanHorn of Hayesville; and a host of nieces and nephews, and many friends.
In addition to her parents, LaDonna is preceded in death by her two husbands, Fritz Krichbaum and Marvin Barr; four brothers, John, Francis, Raymond, and Robert Mott; three sisters, Nadean Mott, Rosemary Emerick and Adaline (Paul) Owens; and a sister-in-law, Jacquie Mott.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Pastor Harry Strachan officiating. Interment will follow in the Ashland County Memorial Park. Friends may call prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1021 Dauch Drive, Ashland, Ohio 44805, Ashland County Cancer Association, 1011 East Main Street, Suite A, Ashland, Ohio 44805, or to Calvary Baptist Church, 210 Davis Road, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
