Laura Johnson Obituary

Laura was a graduate of Norway High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Education at the University of Maine.
On July 7, 1961 she was united in marriage with Reino Johnson in Maine.
Laura began her career as a physical education teacher in Gardiner, Maine and in 1964 took a position with New Hartford High School and remained there until her retirement in 1997.
She was a member of New Hartford Retired Teachers Association.
Laura is survived by her loving husband of 62 years; Reino, her son and daughter in law; Craig and Danielle Johnson and her three grandchildren; Lindsay Johnson, Megan Bordua-Johnson and her husband Nathan and Craig Johnson Jr.
She was predeceased by her brother; David Brown.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I have the most wonderful memories of Laura as my gym and swim teacher, and cheerleading coach. She was a very kind, loving woman.

Mrs. J was my gym teacher and Girl Scout leader. I will never forget the trip to Maine she took us on. We got to see her parent´s chicken farm and we stayed in the family cabin on the lake. She organized a great lobster bake and we went swimming in the lake. So a gift to all of us. She was a special lady.

Laura, was always good in Sports and we knew she would be a Phy. Ed. Teacher. Reino and Laura always tried to get back for our many get together and last appearance was a surprise at "DADDIE'OS RESTAURANT. We were all so surprised to see them. Laura and I shared many thoughts together on Messenger and Facebook. They enjoyed getting emails on what was going on here, back in Maine. I am going to miss our written conversations. We didn't know how ill she was ir would have sent Cards to her. Rhino we feel your sadness, bit we also know you have many wonderful Memories and a wonderful Family.Keep your Faith and know we will welcome you any day here in Norway. SO.Paris,.just let us know and we can gather together. Rest in Peace dear Laura. PS. I have many Memories of our competing Events in our many school years together.

Raino saying sorry is just not enough. Laura was one of the kindest, funniest and just an all around wonderful person. My bocce partner and we beat you guys everytime! She will be so missed. She was loved by all. Keep the faith and especially the memories. Love to you and your family.

Reino and family...so sorry to read that Laura has passed. Remembering, bocce games, puzzles, and good conversation at Annie's. Most special times were Xmas parties at your beautiful home.
