Lillian Katherine Fischer (nee Weismann) age 97 of Menomonee Falls (formerly Slinger), Wisconsin, passed away surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday, February 20, 2024.
Lilly was born September 23, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI to Catherine (nee Borse) and Frank Weismann. She worked for Phoenix Hosiery in Milwaukee where she ended up meeting her soon to be husband, Donald Fischer. They were united in marriage February 19, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI, where they lived until the early 70's. Then they moved to Cedar Lake Hills, Slinger, WI. Lilly and Don enjoyed Lake life with their boat. There were many grandchildren sleepovers and family beach parties.
Lilly and Don then became snowbirds and lived in Yuma, Arizona. Over the years they traveled and stayed with their children in the summers.
In early years, Lilly bowled, she loved playing card games and bingo. Most of all she was very lucky at the casinos. She was very social, enjoyed talking to everyone and meeting new people. She cherished her family.
Lilly is survived by her loving children, Carol (Doug) Douglas, Linda (Fred) Schultz, both of Menomonee Falls, and Donald (Michele) Fischer II of Slinger; cherished grandchildren, Michelle (Jason) Douglas-Meyer, Lynn (James) Shulta, Katie (Jason) Griepentrog, Tiffany Myers-Schultz, Troy (Lisa) Schultz, Tory (Natalie) Schultz, Angela (Nick) Henke, Ashley (Dustin) McCambridge, and Alexandra (Tyler) Wilkens. She is further survived by 21 treasured great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; dear siblings, Judy (Philip) Feid and Gene (Sharon) Weismann, among many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Donald; parents; brothers, Frank (Rosemary) and Dick (Norma) Weismann; and grandson, Trevor Schultz.
A Committal Service honoring Lilly's life will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street, Union Grove, WI 53182.
