Lloyd Keuter Obituary
Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Chris Podhajsky will officiate.
Lloyd was born on April 26, 1937, in Dyersville, Iowa, the son of Ulrich "Ole" and Stella (Schneider) Keuter. He married Judy A. Tebbe on July 13, 1963, in Bellevue, Iowa.
Lloyd graduated from Xavier High School in 1955 and entered the Air Force. He was honorably discharged in October 1958, then started operating the family farm. He raised beef and pork, and crop farmed until the age 75. In addition, he spent 20 years employed at John Deere.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; children: Kayla Keuter of Kansas and Karris Deis of North Carolina; grandchildren: Nicole, Katherine, and Jaclyn Deis, Max and Kenna King, and a son-in-law, Tom King.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kendall Keuter and daughter, Karlyn Keuter-King; parents, parents-in-law, and siblings: Doris (Henry) Deutmeyer and Dale (Eileen) Keuter.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lloyd Keuter's name to Xavier Elementary School and/or St. Francis Xavier Basilica. Memorials may be sent to the family, (in care of Kramer Funeral Home) 750 12th Ave SW, Dyersville, IA 52040.
