Louis Charles Hale

Louis Charles Hale, 81 of Deleon Springs, passed away April 6, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Louis was born May 13, 1941 in White Plains, New York to parents Ivan and Marjorie (Goodman) Hale.
Louis was a beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather. He grew up in Westchester County New York and worked for New York Tel before moving to Florida, where he worked as a Software Engineer with Stromberg Carlson/Siemens.
After his move to Florida, Lou married, had three wonderful children, who kept him busy and young at heart. After retiring, Louis was able to focus on his passion for model trains, building a "railroad room" inside the garage. He also became a cat lover (!), spending many happy hours with his feline companions. He loved visiting National Parks throughout the country, exploring their natural beauty and learning about their history.
Louis had a great love for Flagler Beach and the Florida Keys, where he enjoyed the sun, the sea, and Bahia Honda State Park. And all who knew Lou was keenly aware that he was a diehard Yankees fan, through thick and thin!
Most of all, Louis cherished the time he spent with his family. He is survived by his wife Becky, his three children Christopher (Anna), Kacie (David), and Jennifer (Dave), his granddaughter Fiona, and a grandson on the way. He is also survived by his sister Janet (Al), brother-in-law Ted, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom he loved deeply.
Lou will be remembered for his offbeat humor and good-hearted teasing of his loved ones, his dedication to his family, readily offering up his opinion and his quiet strength when things got tough. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
To join in the celebration of Lou's life on May 13th – his birthday - everyone please enjoy a plate of spaghetti and meatballs followed by a slice of apple pie. And maybe catch the Yankees game on TV. The perfect tribute, and what better way to spend a Saturday?!
Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to the caring, compassionate staff at Halifax Health Hospice. They not only provided great care to Lou, but also cared for the family, providing physical and emotional support throughout Lou's stay at the Port Orange Care Center.
