Marlene C. Puchi, 73, of Peters Twp., passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021.

She was born in Washington, PA, a daughter of the late Frank and Sarah (Bonaventura) Sweder.

Marlene was a graduate of Avella High School and attended Penn Commercial Business College in Washington. She worked as a secretary and office manager at McGraw-Edison and later at Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery.

On July 3, 1975, she married her beloved husband of 47 years, William W. Puchi, Sr.

She was a dedicated Marine Wife. Marlene and Bill were both loyal to the Mon Valley Leathernecks Association and were always available to help organize and participate in events and parades.

Marlene loved her home and enjoyed spending time doing things around the house to make sure that people were always welcome. She was passionate about caring for her family, friends and people in general. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, William W. Puchi, Sr.; a daughter, Tami Lynnette Puchi of Erie; and a sister, Frances Sweder of Carnegie.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a brother, John Sweder.

Bill, I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know Marlene long and even though I met her during a difficult time, she was always kind to me. My deepest sympathy to you, Tami and Francie.
