Martha Moore Obituary

Martha was a licensed practical nurse for 15 years and retired from Henderson Community Methodist Hospital. She was a longtime member of Hyland Baptist Church. Most of all, Martha was a devoted housewife and mother.
In addition to her parents Fred and Mary Nichols, Martha was preceded in death by her husband Henry Moore; daughter Jane Haynes; and her siblings: Dorothy Rhodes, Mildred Pippin, and Virginia Hooper; brothers: Robert L. Nichols, E.S. "Tommy" Nichols, and Fredrick H. "Peanie" Nichols.
Martha is survived by her daughter Nancy Gibson (Larry) of Henderson, KY; sons: James W. "Jim" Duncan (Myrona), Kenneth A. Duncan (Brandie), both of Henderson, Ky; John M. Duncan (Dana) of Morganfield, KY, and D.E. "Gene" Duncan (Karen) of Panama City, FL; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Martha's Life Celebration from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, and again on Saturday starting at 11:00 A.M. at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the funeral home with Pastor Kenny Kidd officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to: Hyland Baptist Church, 1400 Wright St, Henderson, KY 42420.
